Our classroom is made up of all kinds of learners. My students are from a small community and many are on the free/reduced lunch program due to their socioeconomic status. This means that my students do not have the opportunity to go and get the supplies need for school.
We are storytellers, mathematicians, scientists but most importantly we are friends.
My students are creative, caring, and curious. Though many of my students face hardships, they do not let that stop them from wanting to learn and be leaders at their school.
My students need these books for our classroom library because our library is in need of chapter books. The titles that I have selected will give my students a wide range of genres and topics. These titles also hit multiple student reading levels so everyone can choose a book that they want to read.
Readers are leaders!
My students are eager to read new books and want explore different genres. These books will intrigue my current students and future students to come.
Finally, my students have fallen in love with the Hank the Cowdog series because I have been reading the first book to my class. We would love to have more books of the series to read. Thank you!
