”You can have all the talent in the world, but without determination, you won't get very far.”—Malorie Blackman
My students make me smile and laugh every day with their BIG personalities.
Between my reading and math classes, I teach 26 grade at a Title I school in Maryland. My students are diverse first graders who love gathering together on the carpet to hear stories, share connections, and expand our knowledge.
I strive to make our classroom into our second home and provide all the tools that my students need to be the most successful.
My Project
A classroom can never have too many books! I am requesting 77 books, which are six different sets of books. A series of books that feature the same characters by the same authors will allow my students to understand character development even more. In addition, when students find a book they like, it allows them to continue reading new books with familiar characters!
I consider myself to be a book pusher!
I want my students to develop a love for reading and literacy. A new bookshelf will provide a house for our new books! It is double-sided and is on wheels. The wheels will allow the bookshelf to easily move around the classroom. The books will be front-facing so students can easily see them and select books.
