Our students are part of an innovative approach to school. Currently, we are in the second year of our school opening, and in this time we have seen powerful results! We believe that all young people have the potential to become lifelong changemakers who realize their unique vision — rooted in their identity, knowledge, and skills — to create equity in their own lives and in the community, leading to a healthier, more joyful world. Through love and rigor, our approach to redesigning school has put the students at the center of their learning in order to lift them up to their highest potential. With this, our students are challenged to be independent and critical thinkers, while also developing their sense of strong character. I cannot say enough good things about our learning community, and I know we are shifting students' academic identity and proficiency!
This is the first year of our PE program. In an attempt to get the highest participation, we are bringing in the games that students have requested. Dodgeball is at the top of this list. Since these dodgeballs are not cheap, we are reaching out for support.
We currently have no budget for our PE program.
Our Dean of Culture and Teachers give up some of their prep time to run PE so that our students get more movement in their day. This is incredibly important for our students to have physical health and we would appreciate any support others can give us. Let's make this happen!s
