My students need dry erase markers and boards to use during instruction.

Kindergarten students are beginning their academic careers. They are so eager to learn and participate in class. However, often my students have to do activities that require sitting and listening. I am always looking for ways to have them actively engaged in instruction.
I teach in a Title one school in Maryland.
84% of the students in my school are from low income families. This makes it difficult for many students and families to provide the basic supplies needed for their child's education. 50% of my students are English language learners. Many of them come from families who also don't speak English. These students need as much support as possible to acquire the English language along with writing skills to be academically successful. As a teacher in a Title One school I put forth much of my time and effort to provide what I can, library books, school supplies and lots of love. Your help by donating to this project will help me to continue to purchase the necessities.
Kindergarten is the time when students develop their beginning writing skills. Dry erase boards and markers give students a fun way to practice. They love to use them to practice letter writing, word wall games, and math skills. It is a fun and motivating instructional activity.
These materials will give my students the chance to be actively engaged and use "grown up" materials will really benefit my students.
They will be even more excited to participate, be engaged and learn academic material more readily.
