Moss, and ferns, and critters...Oh my! Help our class bring our 55 gallon terrarium to life.
We are Kindergarten class full of scientists!
We love to question, explore, and discover. Our diverse backgrounds inform our experiences and enliven our conversations. When we walk through our classroom door, the social and economic disparities in our community take a back seat to the positive challenges we work together to solve each day. Where we come from is not as important as where we are going. Today is a great day to learn something new!
My Project
In our classroom, we have a 55 gallon tank waiting to be brought to life. We study trees in our science curriculum and our classroom is decorated as a woodland environment. We would love to have a window into nature available every day. We will use our terrarium to practice being scientists, inspire writing projects, to broaden our interest in non-fiction literature, and to practice measurement. A vibrant, growing terrarium excites wonder in young learners, and will support the standards we are tackling this year. We need plant sets, potting soil and a spray bottle.
Observation is key to development of a scientific mind.
Kindergarteners are open to new experiences. This project allows us to foster interest in science, so that both girls and boys start off their school career seeing the magic in the world around them. Let's grow the next generation of scientific minds together! Thank you, from our roots to our leaves, for your support!
