Located on an Air Force Base, the students who make up my class family are unique and strive to be the best possible version of themselves each and every day. Every child has one or both parents who serve in the Armed Forces and protect our country each and every day! The connections they are able to create with each other are powerful and long-lasting.
Our class strives to be our authentic selves while empowering our own learning as we work towards being lifelong learners.
Every student plays an integral part in our classroom, bringing their culture and previous learning experiences as they strengthen our class bond. My students know the right thing to do and help each other to be themselves. We aim to expand our cultural mindset as we embrace our strengths and our weaknesses. They cheer each other on and if things get tough, they persevere and keep going! Thanks to DonorsChoose, our classroom dreams can become a reality!
My Project
The scholar-athletes at our school put academics first. Each year, we use the same equipment, much of which has been funded by DonorsChoose and the generous individuals who make it happen! The materials needed for this project which includes footballs and flags will help both the girls and boys playing on the team improve their athletic ability in this sport.
Footballs and new flags will make a difference in the development of the scholar-athletes playing on the team.
The competitive nature of the sport and the collaborative space created by the athletes helps them grow and work together on and off the field.
