My Students

All my students have learning disabilities and need fun and entertaining ways to learn their basic math skills to build a foundation for success in math.

My students all come from a high needs inter-city neighborhood.

My students come to school with many life challenges and having adequate materials for learning basic skills should not be one of them. We are a Title I high poverty school. My students have a great desire to learn and will enjoy having a new tool for achieving their goals.

My Project

I am requesting 5 Math Whiz electronic devices to help my students to memorize their basic math facts. Most of the challenges in our classroom is the lack of memorization of basic math facts. Bringing together technology and the idea of playing games and not realizing they are actually learning is key for my students.

My students need to have fun while learning.

It is important that I include technology in that process. My students biggest hurdle is memorizing their math facts. This prevents them from moving forward at a faster pace and hinders their overall learning. My students would benefit greatly from this simple tool!
