Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have some of the most amazing students. Although their home lives are less than ideal, they are enthusiastic, willing to learn, and openly embrace all the awesome things they believe they can achieve. Their great thirst for knowledge is truly amazing!

My awesome students would love to beautify their school campus by creating a garden.

In the process of doing so, they will learn about both science and nature by growing their own food and various kinds of flowers. Along with their knowledge of plants, they will learn important life skills like responsibility and discovery.

When students have the opportunity to invest in their school, they take more ownership and pride. Having the necessary supplies to get work done allows students to grow and be the best they can be.

My Project

My awesome students would love to beautify their school campus by creating a garden. In the process of doing so, they will learn about both science and nature by growing their own food and various kinds of flowers. Along with their knowledge of plants, they will learn important life skills like responsibility and discovery.

We will utilize watering cans, seeds, raised beds, sprinklers, trowels, and most definitely our creativity and imagination to grow a vibrant flower and vegetable garden.

The students will be able to see and eat their hard work and have a sense of purpose knowing they can use their environment to grow food.
