Help me give my students the opportunity to problem solve and expand their world with the Engineering Aid Drop packages, and an In-Class Gardening Starter Kit.
This project expired on July 28, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are creative, kind and independent. They love working and learning with their hands, and are truly curious. Our class cycles together for three years, this really allows our community to solidify and grow. Throughout the three years in our classroom, the students grow into leaders that work closely with their younger counterparts.
My students love to read and explore.
They thrive when given projects that allow them to showcase their abilities and interests.
Our students are from Grand Rapids, and enjoy the opportunity to interact and experience nature whenever possible.
These materials will help my students at GRPS learn in many ways.
Our class will use these materials to learn through experience.
They will provide students with a chance to build, problem solve and create.
We will use the Air-Drop kit for our weekly science explorations. This will propel our students into a study of geography and how they can help.
In gardening, our class will start plants inside and monitor and track their growth. We will practice daily observations and sketching to see changes over time. We will stretch this work into how seeds move, as well as native plants in Michigan!
