My students are excited four and five year old children from a diverse area in a high needs school. They bring a joy of learning and a welcoming community. Our school works hard to make sure all kids feel welcome and encouraged.

They do better when they are able to move about and have a variety of student choice in learning. We love to learn about all sorts of things including about all the cultures represented in our school.
My Project
Pre-K students need to be able to move in order to learn. Hokki stools are a low profile durable way for children to be able to move while learning. The design of the Hokki stools allow kids to work on core muscles while they are learning in small groups and at tables. Often my students get frustrated with traditional chair especially in navigating the legs of the chair while moving about the classroom and fitting enough kids around the table.
My students have a great deal of passionate energy.
Supporting this project will help them focus that energy in positive ways and allow them to be themselves. The color of these chairs (calming light blue) will also help maintain self-regulation and help them deal with their stress.
