This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of twenty two students who endure academic struggles in life. They provide a positive attitude in the classroom as well as in other areas in the community. My students are eagerer, and energetic learners with unique personalities. The school that I am currently teaching at is a Title 1 elementary school with various cultures through out the school and community.

My students are leaders in their community as well as in the school setting and they ready to grow with their learning.

My Project

Scholastic storyworks is an important supplement to use in my classroom because it exposes them to expository text. These magazines will help create a more adventures way for my students to become engaged in their learning. My students will benefit by having their own individual magazine to work in and something to call their own. By using the Scholastic Storyworks magazine my students will be able to learn how to take notes and be responsible for their reading. The magazines will allow my students to learn how to make a connection with text by using sticky notes. My students will be encouraged to read at home and show what they have learned.
