Help me give my students a hands on learning experience of growing their own classroom garden, watching the process through the Sprout Garden, and learning about the plant lifecycle through a variety of materials.
My students are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders that are all so amazing and have amazing abilities. They have diverse learning styles and like all children, they learn best through hands on learning experiences. I am so fortunate to be able to be the teacher of my students for 3 years. With 3 grade levels, a variety of learning needs, and having my students over a 3 year span, it can be difficult to provide new learning experiences that keep them engaged. This project will provide a new engaging, healthy, learning experience for them!
These planting materials, books, and classroom accents will create a world of wonder for my students. These materials will provide an amazing hands on learning experience by growing and caring for their own garden. Students will be able to read about the lifecycle of plants, see the lifecycle, and write their observations as they practice a variety of essential skills throughout this learning unit.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about the health benefits of fruits and vegetables, how they are grown, harvested, and brought to a store near us.
I look forward to creating a variety of learning experiences for my students this year that will keep them engaged and motivated to learn throughout the curriculum.
