In my preschool I teach the most incredible 3 to 5 year olds who are just beginning the journey of learning in a school environment. About three quarters of my students are receiving services from the special education teacher and/or the Speech and Language Pathologist. A few are also learning a second language.
All of my students are actively involved in their education and developing numerous skills that will help them succeed for years to come.
My Project
My students love outside time. During outside time my students are able to develop their gross motor skills, exercise and release some of their energy through their play. Throughout the winter months we have many days when it is too cold to go outside. When this happens, we really miss that time to exercise our large muscle groups and develop our gross motor skills.
This equipment will help me to provide my students with the tools necessary to a lead a successful indoor recess that will help them in their development of their gross motor skills.
I know that my students will love using this equipment. It will help them to exercise and release some of their energy so that they will be better prepared for continued learning throughout our day.
