My Students
We are located in St. Louis in an area of poverty, but we are part of a relatively decent size school system. My 10 students are three and four years old coming from various backgrounds. They are learning to be part of a classroom community. They have made many new friends and are gaining valuable educational experiences. For many of my students, this is their first school experience. My students are eager to learn and are very inquisitive. To help them enjoy COVID learning and social distancing during recess and gross motor time, I’m requesting a few items that will assist them individually during recess.
My Project
Gross motor skills are those that need your entire body to move. The students need well developed gross motor skills so they can learn how to dress and undress, cope with walking on uneven surfaces, sit comfortably at the table to eat. With the following items, the students will enjoy bouncing, throwing, catching, kicking, balancing and having fun playing while being safe during COVID-19. With the large quantity of items, each student can enjoy playing with a variety of items while I can rotate and keep the items sanitized.
