My students need a high quality music player for learning our sight words and to listen to music while working.

Do you remember how much you loved when your teachers incorporated music throughout the day? My students love music and we have some form of music playing through a large portion of the day. We learn our sight words through music and music is playing in the background while we work.
Our 100 year old public school building houses a very diverse student population in terms of race, language, and socioeconomic background.
This is a group of students that learns best through doing and moving around. We currently are using a cd player that does not always work. It is very disappointing to the students when we cannot listen to our sight word songs or music while we are working. We need something reliable and high quality.
I am not even sure I can count how many times a day we are using our music player. The students all say their favorite time to use the cd player is to listen to sight word songs. We listen to our weekly sight word songs every day. Not only does it let the students move and dance but it also teaches them how to spell our sight words. Often times throughout the day students just start singing those sight word songs. We also listen to music to calm down after recess and lunch. It is a great transition back into the classroom. Students use this time to draw or create and listen to instrumental music in the background. Most of the time we listen to this music while we are working too. It helps the students to focus. Music is such an important thing to have in the classroom, especially in kindergarten classrooms ,and we like it to be on as much as possible.
This new music player will make a tremendous difference in the life and day of my students.
Not only is it high quality, meaning I will not have to worry about it not working, but it also has many components. We can play cds, cassettes, and it has blue tooth. I can connect it to my phone, computer, or tablet and play music directly from there. This particular one is a reliable piece of technology that means music will always be part of the day for my students.
