My Project
We will use these garden tools to dig and plant our vegetable garden. Children will learn the life cycle of plants through hands-on discovery and exploration. Students will document the growth and development of their plants and relate it to their growth.
Planting vegetables and seeing them go from soil to table, students will learn where our fruits and vegetables come from.
This will be essential for the students to understand what foods are healthy and nutritious for their bodies.
Being in the inner city, most children do not have access to a garden or have seen fruits and vegetables grow. This will allow them to witness it and have food come from their own hands.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
