Help me give my students the tools needed to create a green screen room to learn and advance their video productions skills, including iPads, green screens, and more.
Our district recently decided to reconfigure all of our elementary schools. Our school will now be the intermediate school housing 5th and 6th grade students. In the past our 6th graders went to middle school; because of this, we want to offer our students some of the opportunities they would have had in middle school. To make this transition easier for our students we want to try to provide them with some of the ideas that they have suggested. This is crucial to keep up the excitement for our school and allow the students to feel a part of the planning for our new school. Our students are very interested in using technology in all aspects of their learning. One of the most requested things they want to learn is video production. They are very interested in making and producing videos.
My Project
Our students live in a digital age; allowing them the opportunity to create, edit, and publish digital projects is critical. Our school would like to move into the 21st century by adding a green screen room that students are able to use for projects. In addition to this, our 6th grade students will have the opportunity to learn videography and take over our school-wide morning announcements. Our students need a portable green screen to allow them to travel on site for videos. The light ring is portable and will allow for better lighting where videos are filmed. The iPads and computer camera will allow students to utilize desktop computers for filming while the headset with mic will allow students to create voice overs with sound technology.
By exposing our students to videography, we are helping to create a generation of students who are equipped to apply their love of technology and learning in the 21st century.
