My students need the opportunity and supplies to be creative storytellers. With an Ipad and green screen they can use technology and apps to place themselves in any setting to retell their favorite stories!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 37 students; 20 Dual Language and 17 Regular Program. They are all part of a collaboration between our Independent School District and Head Start, which means they are all eligible for free or reduced lunch. My students are creative, clever, and enjoying their first year of school.
We are ready and excited to have more technology to use in our small group instruction and our learning centers.
With technology being a strong part of our society, it is time to incorporate it into their learning.
My Project
By having a green screen and iPad in the classroom my students will be able to place themselves in any setting to retell their favorite stories.
To their eyes it will be like magic, but as a teacher, these tools will provide the enthusiasm to grow their love for literacy and reading.
They will not only grow their aptitude with technology, but also continue to develop their language, vocabulary and capability to think about the setting, characters, introduction, conclusion, as well as other skills that will help them succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. These tools will make the classroom a fun and exciting world of literacy.
