My kids are a bunch of goofballs that love to learn and cannot wait to show me their next idea or silly thing they come up with. They are a lovable, great group of kids and are always excited to be in the classroom. I had a student get hooked on making origami lotus flowers today and wanted to give one to everyone. This group that I have this year is so creative and out of the box, I feel they need fun creative hands-on activities to express themselves!
Support literacy in the classroom! We are trying to create a hunger for learning! Children don't want to read anymore, but I honestly think it is because they have never read anything of interest to them. What better way to get them into reading but through Greek Mythology. These graphic novels have common core questions and are meant to help struggling readers. Support our classroom by helping us to buy books. I have bought many of these comics over the years, and the kids LOVE them, but sometimes just buying a class set of books is super expensive for one person. I really hope it sparks a love of reading in them.
