My Students

My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, wanting to be validated and noticed. When I fulfill this need, they are ready to learn, risk and experience drama. I love the challenge providing opportunities for all the students to use their hands, minds, voice and body to express creatively. To imagine, perform, to critically think, and collaborate every single day.

It is my goal to help the students to discover, to risk, explore and learn by doing.

I want them to leave middle school as confident risk-takers, problem solvers, loving drama and desiring to further explore opportunities with in the theater world.

My Project

These resources with provide hands-on activities to supplement the theater curriculum. Hands-on activities such as these provide an opportunity for students to develop and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions and have a chance to socialize and connect with their peers. Also, It will help each student develop an imagination to create artistic ideas and work.

They will connect to community and culture as we read, discuss, analyze plays and stories from a variety of cultures and historical periods and then create masks and scenes to role-play.

The knowledge and skills will help them learn, understand, communicate and manage emotions by connecting to the stories and experiencing with role playing.
