My students need a magnetic visual models chart, addition & subtraction math puzzles, and supplies such as tape, folders, ziplock bags, laminating pouches and lunch bags to engage in differentiated math centers and small group instruction.
Hola! I have taught bilingual (Spanish) kindergarten in the Chicago Public School system for the past 10 years. The students I teach come from predominantly low-income families and are all English Language Learners. Every year, I am excited to provide my young students with experiences and resources that they otherwise may not come across. This year I am one of two co-teachers teaching an inclusion-model bilingual kindergarten, meaning our classroom has both diverse learners (students with special needs) and typically developing students.
I am passionate about teaching early childhood and love exposing my young students to new experiences, getting them excited and invested in their own learning!
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read about me and my project!
I am teaching in an inclusion-model bilingual kindergarten setting for the first time this school year; I am working harder than ever in order to differentiate my math instruction to accommodate the various student needs in my classroom.
My differentiated small group and math center instruction require many materials including a magnetic visual number bond model, number pattern puzzles, addition puzzles, and subtraction puzzles; I'm requesting tools that will help my young mathematicians learn how to solve equations using a hands-on approach.
I also need various supplies such as packing tape, folders, laminating pouches, in order to execute some teacher-created games for students who require further modifications to activities.
