My Students

My students love coming to school, where we strive to create a family environment where students know they are loved and cared about by our staff. They are sweet 8 and 9 year olds, who love to please and be rewarded for their efforts.

About 72% of our students receive free and reduced lunch assistance, and face many challenges in their personal lives.

While many of my students are excited to learn, some find it challenging to focus on learning in the classroom. I want to do everything I can to help my students become involved in their own education to help them understand that learning can be fun and how important it is to their futures. Receiving these materials will help my students become successful, independent learners.

My Project

As a 3rd grade teacher, I spend much of my day meeting with small groups of students at a table in my classroom. Some of these students are struggling with a specific skill and need more time to work with it. Other students have moved on to more challenging skills and need my guidance to be successful.

Having small group instructions helps me better meet the needs of all my students.

Having this easel will help me do this. My students and I will be able to use the dry erase board to write so that the whole group can see and learn. This board is also magnetic so my students and I will be able to do word word with magnetic letters. My students will greatly benefit from this easel. I appreciate your support for my students providing them with materials that will greatly improve their learning experiences. Thank you.
