Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my room are extremely creative. As a group, they have and continue to overcome extreme life experiences. Despite all the negative things they go through they demonstrate that they want to improve and be better. No matter how hard the day is they always come in ready to try their best.
They make me want to do my absolute best every day.
They come in every day ready with ideas and perspectives that are eye-opening, unique, and a bit silly at times.
My Project
My class is being moved to a new classroom that has is much more compact. Compact space requires compact organization which the shelf would allow us to have. Our new room also has no rug for our class meetings and read out louds. We also need adapters for our headphones to ensure that reading comprehension is being built.
I want to make sure that these 7 - 8 year old minds have a great experience with reading.
The lack of resources can affect their feelings about their own reading abilities. They're so young that I want to make sure we keep or find their love of reading throughout the year.
