Great Salt Lake field trip

Help me give my students ... & all 4th grade students a field trip to the Great Salt Lake! We have a chance to study and see environments, habitats, adaptions, wading in the Great Salt Lake, & more!

My Students

We have 90 4th grade students this year who are eager to learn about Utah! They like to experience science by doing experiments, as well as learning on the internet and with books.

The students like to do engaging activities that provide them firsthand experiences ... to touch, to dig into, to see with their own eyes, to taste, and to hear!

We are hoping that we will be able to give them some of these unique opportunities this year!

My Project

We would love a field trip to the Great Salt Lake. The students learn about environments in 4th grade so this is a great opportunity to experience real life after they have studied about it.

We also learn about animals and adaptations of Utah animals.

Going to Antelope island gives us a chance to see some of these animals and their habitats.

We just feel this is a chance to go to the Great Salt Lake. Most people don't put this as a high priority to visit, but it is one site in Utah that should be seen/visited at least once! We want to provide that opportunity!
