My students need headphones for our various listening activities during centers.

My Students

Our students come from a mix of backgrounds, from middle class to sometimes homeless status, but we always make sure they know we are happy to see them and make school a fun and safe place to learn. We want our students to excel no matter what their home life may be like and no matter what level they start off the school year with. I, personally, want my classroom to be a space that is like a second home.

My Project

Having better headphones that not only fit their smaller heads better, but that also don't break easily or quit working after a few uses will enhance our center time.

These headphones will help the kids listen to fluent reading in our listening center while they listen to stories picked for their rich vocabulary and enjoyable subject matter.

We will use them also during their time on laptops as they work on their reading skills and strategies to help them with unknown words. They will also cut out noise during math time on the laptops so they may focus better and improve their math fluency.
