Help me give my students materials for a great first year of school in a classroom that is organized and has enough supplies.

My Project

Many of my students come from low-income households so they have not had any school experience prior to kindergarten. These students are so excited to start kindergarten because they mostly have been at home due to the pandemic. They are eager to learn and to make friends with other children their age.

I want to help make my students first year of school a memorable one where they love to come to school to learn and develop relationships with their peers.

The laminator and laminator pouches will allow me to preserve special memories from my students' first year of school and give it to their families. Some of the items will help make my classroom an organized one and will teach students how to develop their own organizational skills. The literature organizer, book bins, hanging file folders, file folder box, laminated tape, and plastic folders will help students organize their resources, completed work, and works in progress. The doorbell will help make transitions more organized and routine. The post-it easel and magnetic ten frame will make learning more visual and easier for students to understand.

These families also struggle with buying school supplies for their child. Some of the items are supplies that parents will not have to worry about providing. The expo dry erase pens, scotch tape, and markers will be supplies made available to students and their parents will not have to worry about purchasing them.
