Mrs. Runions from Avon IN is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Great Books Needed to Reach Kids Who Love to Read!

My students need a good class set of this book with library binding so that they last for years to come. I have ELL learners and students with special needs who would benefit from these.

My Students

I am a general education Language Arts teacher who works with a large number of ELL learners and students with special needs in our school building. I am always looking for great books that are still at a manageable reading level for my 6th grade students.

I teach three classrooms of about 30 students each, and we love to read great novels together.

My students come from many different cultures and backgrounds, and they also speak many different languages. My students are enthusiastic learners when it comes to great books, so I am always trying to increase our classroom sets so that we can enjoy those great books together as a class.

My Project

I have many different ELL learners and kids with special needs who would benefit from this book because it is still high interest for a 6th grade student, but it is much more manageable for 6th graders who are struggling learners or have language needs. We read this book this year, and my kids loved it. However, we had to borrow books from different schools to get enough for our class to read it together.

I would love to have a class set of library bound Running Out of Time books so that my students can enjoy this book for years to come.
