Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class has the potential to learn, and is very enthuastic to keep showing interest in education. We live in Santa Fe NM where it is mostly Hispanic. Many students' families move around a lot or don't have a lot of money, so the school has to provide almost all of their learning resources and opportunities.
My students are creative, energetic, and love to play.
They don't always have good focus on school activities. For this reason, we need many engaging resources.
My Project
My students already love to read Dr. Seuss books, but they don't often get the chance to read them in Spanish. Many of the books in our classrooms either are only in English, or they are old and unappealing. The books I've selected are interesting and appropriate for their linguistic development levels, culture, and learning needs.
