I am a second year teacher in a very large, suburban school district. My 5th graders come from a variety of backgrounds. I teach three blocks of mathematics. We embark on many adventures in our classroom to discover the WHY behind math! Each day we come to math with a mission to learn and to succeed together.
We are family and we look out for each other.
My students have a wide variety of ability in math. We are very diverse in our learning and have many different learning styles weaved into one classroom!
My Project
Students will be able to practice the skill of graphing coordinates on a four-quadrant graph with these wipe off boards. They would make learning graphing more engaging while also being more eco-friendly. My students will be so excited to use the wipe off boards when we start practicing graphing and I will love the ease of checking for understanding using these boards.
My students love the opportunity to use dry erase markers-they make learning much more exciting!
Students will be able to quickly pull their boards out of their desk, graph coordinate pairs, check their work and move on to the next set.
