Graphing Calculators for AP Calculus Students

My Students

Almost all of my students will be the first in their families to attend college. One of the main goals of my class is to prepare them for the challenges of college.

A large majority of the students are immigrants, English learners, and come from low income families.

Very few of the students have parents who attended college, or graduated from high school. I am confident that all of my students will be successful in college with the right preparation.

My Project

In the 20 years I have been teaching AP Calculus, the school has increased the number of students taking the class from 30 to 160, while continuing to have over 90% of students pass the AP exam. Many of my students can not afford to purchase their own graphing calculators. This set will allow students who can not afford their own to have access to them. My students need to be able to use a graphing calculator to prepare for the AP Calculus exam.

Many of my students can not afford these calculators.
