My Students

The students I have in my 8th grade regular and advanced math classes are eager to learn the concepts during virtual LIVE classes. Many of the others may have given up as it is too hard for them to learn in the new technology based classroom. Purchasing a high definition graphics tablet to connect to the teacher computer while delivering lessons can drastically improve this dilemma. As the students are exposed to real time problem solving and graphing they will gain confidence, thereby improving attendance and comprehension of critical skills before entering high school.

My Project

I would like to be able to answer student questions about specific problems and give examples of where errors can be made while solving math problems. Currently, I am using a mouse to point and talk through problems as they arise on the homework.

Using a graphics tablet will allow me to model how to work through problems, graphs and organization examples.

My high school credit class is studying statistics using graphing software and the other classes are exploring linear graphing and geometry concepts. Using graphing software and actually showing the students how to do it online as they work through assignments can nothing but improve student scores.

The headphones will remove an echo often heard, background noise interference and offer clear voice delivery. Together, these items will mimic the experience in a real class.
