I have a great group of students who love to learn. They are avid readers, and they love to read books and discuss them with their classmates. They talk a lot, because they have so much to share. They love being creative and sharing their work and interests with each other.
I am lucky that my students are so hardworking, love to read, and want to do their best on everything.
They push themselves and each other to work harder and be better every day. I enjoy being with them and watching them grow and mature academically as well as socially.
My Project
My students are avid readers, and I am always looking for books to excite them and keep them engaged. We have books in our classroom library that are wonderful, but many of the students have read the books that interest them, and now they are looking for more choices. The books I am asking for with this project will supplement the books we have by adding additional titles and a variety of print types including mysteries and graphic novels. Graphic novels are exciting way for students to experience literature and find adventure in books. Students also love mysteries. I love being able to recommend a book to a student and then hear them sharing their love for the book with their classmates. They also enjoy writing about the books they are reading. They analyze the plot, theme, and characters in their writing, which they share with classmates as well. This excites the class and keeps them reading.
