Our school may be small, but it is mighty! Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.
Graphic novels have great value and promote reading to students of all different ability levels!
My students are LOVING the graphic novels that are in my classroom library, but I don't have that many. As their classroom teacher, I would love to provide them with exciting, colorful, and new graphic novel titles to enjoy and continue their love of reading.
This project will reach all 150 students within the 7th & 8th grades. Being a school that has experienced budget cuts, we do not have a full time librarian that is able to promote the love of reading to children.

My students are absolutely loving the graphic novels that can be found within my classroom library. I only have a few graphic novel titles, but would love to expand my library collection!
Graphic novels are fun, exciting, and eye catching.
They are easy to read and appeal to a wide variety of readers. Many view graphic novels as the gateway book to longer novels. I agree with that idea!
By providing students with new titles, I will be able to offer them new ways to see the world, new stories to get lost in, and new books in their hands. Help me to provide them with as many opportunities to promote their literacy as possible!
