Help me give my students the graphic novels they have been begging to read! My students love reading graphic novels and these texts will help us engage more deeply in our reading!
My wonderful fifth-grade students are bright, creative, and curious. They love to learn and explore the world around them. They go above and beyond every day, working hard to achieve our classroom goals.
Our classroom is comprised of a diverse group of students with varying academic and economic needs, cultural backgrounds and personalities.
Together, we learn from one another to form a strong community.
My students are hands-on learners with a hunger for learning. It is my hope to provide more flexible opportunities to learn in creative and fun ways.
My Project
My students LOVE graphic novels. They are very creative, love to draw and design, and can't wait to get reading these books. All of the books come from BookRiot's list of the 50 best graphic novels for middle grades, and I know that many of the titles are books that my students already enjoy.
Graphic novels help us engage in our reading, organize our ideas, and access more complex reading skills.
These graphic novels, in particular, were chosen for their interesting topics and diverse main characters. I want the books in my classroom to reflect the readers in my room. It is my hope that this project will help my students fall in love with new characters and engage in their reading in exciting ways!
