Help me give my students grade appropriate graphic novels! Please share the love of reading with my students! The students are looking forward to reading these sets!
I teach at an elementary school that is diverse. We have a high population of students with learning disabilities, as well as low incomes. I teach all of our sixth-grade students intermixed with accommodations. I work with a great group of teachers, staff, and students. I enjoy coming to work each and every day!
The 6th-grade students at my elementary are quite an outstanding group: they are innovative, hard-working, and determined.
They love to be challenged and try to challenge me as a teacher. They enjoy cooperative work using manipulatives. They inspire and support each other which in turn inspires and motivates me.
My Project
These novels will help build literacy, fluency, and comprehension in the classroom. My students will be able to read books that interest them once attained. With the high percentage of students with learning disabilities, these graphic novels will promote literacy, as well as making a personal connection to what has been read.
All of my 6th graders will improve their literacy connections by reading theses graphic novels.
My students will be able to read and comprehend these books as well as to connect and relate to them. My students are very excited to have these added to our classroom library!
