My Students
My students love to read and write. We spend our year looking at books and talking about what good writers do. These books are great examples of excellent writing that my students can study throughout the year.
My students are low income students. Often students do not have good examples of what good writing looks like. My school is small, with a family atmosphere. Our students and faculty are one big family that work together to increase the academic achievements of our students.
My Project
We will use the books throughout the year for examples of good grammar. Each week we will choose a grammar skill that goes with one of these books and study how the writer uses this skill to enhance their writing. These books all go with a grammar program that I own that utilized these books to teach grammar skills by example.
My students enjoy writing but often don't have good examples of good grammar. We are going to use the books to enhance our writing and grammar skills. We will examine the books and learn from these excellent examples.
