Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing people. Some of them have attended O. Elementary since they were in kindergarten. Completing 6th grade is a huge event in their life. They have grown up so much during their time in 6th grade. We want to celebrate their accomplishment of completing elementary school by honoring them in a graduation ceremony. This will be a time where parents will be able to witness the huge milestone that their child has accomplished and a chance for students to realize that they have successfully transitioned into JR high.
My Project
Graduation is a time to look back and remember your experiences as well as a time to think about your future.
I want my 6th graders to experience this pivotal moment in their lives through the use of actual caps and gowns at their very own graduation ceremony.
Graduating from elementary school is a significant milestone in every students life. My 6th graders have accomplished so much throughout these years in elementary school. They have developed into successful Odyssey Explorers and deserve to be celebrated.
This will be an event where families, friends, and staff will come together to honor the accomplishments of the future leaders of our world. They will get a chance to create a life lasting memory of crossing the stage in a graduation cap and gown.
