Our students mix together to make a lively bunch! In our room, we come from many different parts of the world. In our class, the students speak 10 unique languages. Some of us just arrived in the United States this year and are quickly learning to speak English with the help of our friends.
We promote full, joyful inclusion for all our students with disabilities and our language learners.
All the students in our classroom benefit from learning and growing together. We are an empathetic and supportive groups of teachers and students!
When our students come to school, we want to provide them with materials and experiences that they might not have the opportunity to explore at home due to cultural barriers and economic struggles. Many of our students are not familiar with places, habits, and activities that are standard in the United States. It is a treat to be able to share their first experiences with new adventures.
My Project
I need chapter books for my new first grade classroom. After teaching kindergarten for many years I am now moving up to first grade and setting up a fresh new library.
These new chapter books are just what my first graders need.
Having taught them in kindergarten, I know that they are ready to take the plunge into chapter books. I can't wait for them to see their new classroom and discover the new library that I am hoping to have all set up and ready.
