My Students

Our students are from a small, rural farming community in Southeastern Idaho. A majority of them work on the family farm before school, after school and all summer. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we went 100% online to finish up the school year. This has had a significant impact on our school budget and several programs where forced to be reduced.

Idaho is one of the lowest educational funding states and we must reduce our budget by 5-10% this school year.

My Project

We desire that all students have the opportunity to participate in the sporting events of their choice. With all of our budget cuts, we have to increase fees to cover the costs. There are some students that will not be able to cover the fees, so they end up not participating in sports. With this project, our fees will be drastically reduced, allowing all students the opportunity to play. We hope to be able to continue offering an outstanding athletic program at our school. Go Big Red!
