Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are innovative, gracious and full of questions! They are always up for engaging projects that include active learning, hands on experiences, and challenges them to think 'outside the box' to find results. They come to class each day ready to seek new experiences and take bold opportunities to grow individually and academically. They genuinely are my motivation.
Each student in my classroom truly loves learning, despite the style and setting in which they learn best vary greatly.
We combine a range of learning approaches, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, so they can succeed! They are honestly a wonderful group of kids, and I am so blessed and grateful to have a new group of students that are eager and enthusiastic to learn each year!
My Project
During Math Workshop, my students rotate while I focus on small group instruction.
I try to make my rotations as engaging as possible to keep my students focused while they are away from me and working with their peers.
Providing students with various math games is a great way to strengthen new math skills helps reinforce skills that have been taught whole group. They will also help my students to become more successful mathematicians.
These Grab & Play math games align perfectly with our learning goals which allow for a tailored education for each student. By using a variety of materials, students will be motivated to go to centers because they know they are in for an exciting and educational learning experience.
