Life on a Volcano! I have a class of 23 energetic, curious first and second graders at a public charter school on the Big Island of Hawaii.
We are currently providing 100% distance learning which presents many challenges for the students, families, and teachers.
We are looking to get as many as possible of the necessary learning tools to our students to help keep them engaged, motivated, and successful.

My Project
I am requesting books at my students' reading levels that they can read at home or in school, as well as, math tools like dice and counters. With our current distance learning program, we want to be able to provide as many learning resources as possible for our students and families using our Grab and Go system.
With the new Scholastic books, the students will receive a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at home or on campus.
The students love math games! The math tools, like foam dice and counters will be sent home, along with game boards to encourage and practice a variety of math skills.
Many of our lessons are presented to the students online. The computer stand will provide adequate presentation resources. The resources from the Grab and Go project will greatly benefit each student by providing adequate supplies and engaging learning resources.
