My Students

The students that we serve are strong individuals who have endured many, many challenges. They are smart, talented, and creative, to say the least. They come from all different backgrounds, cultures, and countries.

Despite the many challenges that they face, these students are strong-willed, value their education and will one day change the world!

We are teaching them to be future innovators, creators, and 21st-century learners with many, useful skills. They need us as a bridge to success.

My Project

Where would you like to sit today? This year I will be fully implementing flexible seating. With the few options that I implemented last year, it worked really well. Flexible seating allows each and every student to choose the way that they learn best. Why have students sit in hard, old-school chairs ALL DAY LONG? Because no student is exactly the same and learns the same way, we as teachers have to become innovative and tailor our teaching styles and classroom to meet the individual, unique needs of each student. We are increasing student achievement and getting the students educationally invested by allowing them to become decision makers.
