My students need SCHOOL supplies, such as markers, headphones, and highlighters! We are almost out of school supplies for the year, it is up to the teachers to purchase new supplies for ALL our students.
My students live in a very small isolated community in rural Oregon. At our school the parents are asked to donate $25 to buy school supplies, many of our parents are not able to send in this money. The teachers are required to buy supplies for their entire class.
As a teacher I often do not the funds to buy the original start up supplies and I never seem to have the money this time of year to purchase replacement supplies.
My students desperately need new supplies to finish off the year.
My Project
My students just need simple school supplies. These are things that we use every day. In our district elementary teachers are required to purchase school supplies for all our students. We desperately need replacement supplies to finish of the school year. My students are trying to use white board markers that are almost completely empty. My students need highlighters to practice our reading and writing skills. We need headphones to listen to stories, and take our spelling tests. My class would be thrilled to get some new supplies for the remainder of the school year, so that we don't have to use supplies that are basically empty.
