My students are determined, energetic learners with a passion to explore and grow. Despite the hardships they face, my students walk into the classroom each day with big smiles ready to learn!
My school is an inner-city school with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
Many students live in poverty, struggle with the English language and have extremely limited resources. Some of my students are homeless or in foster care, others are new to the country. While some students live with a caretaker other than their parent.
With summer vacation quickly approaching, I’m already starting to think about next school year and what my incoming students will need!
My students come to school eager to learn but lacking the most basic school supplies.
The materials I’m requesting will help my students stay organized throughout the entire school year. I would love to see the excitement as they enter their new 3rd Grade classroom with colorful supplies waiting on their desk! The folders will serve as homework folders to ensure work is returned back to school. The post it notes and pencils help the students mark up the text and take notes during reading. The expo markers will allow students to practice math facts and play math games without the need for excessive paper copies. The notebooks will be used for read and respond questions and daily math essential questions.
These supplies will help a class of wonderful 3rd graders start the year off right!
