My Students

My students are an amazing group of caring, funny, and kind six-year-olds. They are a diverse group; many students having special needs and most are English language learners. They all come from very different home environments. Some of my students are lucky enough to live with their parents and siblings, while others may live with their grandparents or other guardians while their parents are out of state for work.

Many of my students tend to lack resources, experience, and exposure from home, so it is important for me to provide them with experiences that are both academic and fun.

My Project

In a classroom, printer ink is as good as gold.

In our class, we print A LOT, and printing for an entire class has done quite a number on our ink cartridges as well as our card stock.

We often make color copies of student work such as writing pieces for students to share with the class, print pictures of our students, and create our own literacy and math resources, but it requires a full stock of printer ink and cardstock! Cardstock is much more durable than regular paper especially when it is used for something my students will use each day or will be on display.
