Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income families. Most of them receive free or reduced-price lunch. Some of them do not have enough money to buy school supplies. Some of them need to walk to school because they do not have enough money for a bus.

All of my students have learning and emotional disabilities.

My students experience parents getting divorced, having a baby at their young age, being homeless, babysitting siblings, working to help out their parents, etc. Most of our students are Hispanic. Many of our students will be the first in their families to go to college.

My Project

The printers at the school where I teach are not always reliable. One day they are all working fine and the next, one or more of them are broken. My students will often ask me to print out their missing assignments or other materials that are needed for their other classes. Many of them do not have printers at home.

We recently received a donation for a classroom printer and now we are in need of extra ink cartridges since the printer is used quite often.

Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
