Help me give my students preserved grass frogs for an amazingly engaging, culminating LAB that will lead to a bigger understanding of the systems of the body.
Remember being in Middle School Science? What is the first question that you wanted to know? Do we get to dissect anything this year in science? We want to be able to tell our students, "Yes!"
Our 6th grade students are full of energy and ready to learn.
Science is a hands-on subject. Having dissections in our classrooms, it allows our students to experience science through a hands-on approach.
Our school is a public school with about 1000 students total.
My Project
We need preserved grass frogs for a culminating LAB on body systems. The frog dissection is an amazingly engaging, culminating activity that will lead to a bigger understanding of the systems of the body.
This dissection activity brings science to life on so many levels.
It directly connects to the human body systems and the animal kingdom. This lab experience will allow our students to examine the different organ systems of the frog which are so closely related to their own body systems.
In today's classroom, motivating students is no easy task.
Students will "earn" the privilege to participate in this dissection by showing responsibility and effort in their studies.
Each year, this proves to be a HUGE motivation for students and something they come back to re-live and share their experience with classes to follow.
By donating to our project, You will be giving our students an opportunity that will enhance their love of Multiple Science domains.
