My Students

My second grade class is full of bright enthusiastic learners each year. They are sweet seven-year-old students with wiggly teeth and wiggly feet. They enjoy a good corny joke and love reading, sharing and collaborating on projects. We enjoy partner work, group work, and creating projects.

The students come from diverse backgrounds, and each brings a fresh and unique perspective to our group.

They come from all cultures and backgrounds, but what they all have in common is they love learning and especially like when we incorporate technology into their learning process. That time spent in the computer lab is when I see some students really come into their element.

My Project

Our second grade classroom needs Chromebooks. We intend to use them to do keyboarding practice, research, complete lessons and take assessments. We need the ease and mobility of the Chromebooks to provide the students with the opportunity to utilize them from any part of the room.

This will allow us to use them for partner, small group work, as well as individual use.

They can be used to record data as they travel from station to station. They can be used in a variety of ways.

I'm particularly interested in this format because its small size is a better fit for little hands.
