Got Chalk! Need a White Board

My students need a white board in their classroom not a chalk board.

My Students

Our classroom is working with a out-of-date chalkboard that needs to be replaced with a more user friendly whiteboard. Visual students are in need of diagrams, writings, and visual information, and the whiteboard will do just that! I will be able to illuminate images from my projector .

Our Fifth grade class is an Integrated Co-Teach model room.

Our class consist of 18 students of which 8 students have Special Needs and they learn side by side with the general education students. We are located in Mt. Vernon, NY. My students are very eager to learn despite learning and social economic challenges. Our school has an enrollment of over 500 students grade Pre K - 6 in a high poverty area. I am creating a classroom environment that is user-friendly for all students.

My Project

Imagine chalk dust everywhere and no interactive board is what we are currently faced with in our class environment. We are in need of a whiteboard. Students will visually see representations and have the ability to display their own work using this whiteboard. Whiteboards can be used for many different types of teaching and learning styles. Whether it be through whole group or small group instruction, I can teach accordingly using this whiteboard as well as using technology to project visual presentations on the board.

Your donation will help us create a motivating class environment that assisting in their learning.

Lessons can be visually motivating as well as being able to project power points and interactive lessons as we can mark u the lesson being illuminated. As we are digging deeper in to knowledge, technology will help motivate the learning of the students.
