We are a Title I school in a low-income community. My district is now closed for the remainder of the school year due to COVID-19, and this has been tough on our students and families. Although Chromebooks and Hotspots were distributed to students in order to get them online and able to access lessons and materials, it's not a true substitute for the classroom.
This has not stopped my students who are full of life, energy, and are so excited to learn every day.
I want to do a better job of reaching my students who love Physical Education class. Learning online is not easy and I want to help ease their stress and lead them forward in an exciting, motivating, and physically active way as possible.
My Project
The GoPro will help me make physical education videos for my students to watch. I cannot be with them in person but I can through video. From warm-ups to lesson activities I want to provide the best learning environment for my students. Videos will be available through YouTube, Google Classroom, and Flipgrid.
This pandemic will not stop me from helping my students be physically active.
The healthy and wellness of my students is priority number one right now.
When we return to school the GoPro will be a valuable tool for teaching. From recording skills to activities students will have a tool to take their learning to a new level.
